This is a public journal: if you want to read my ramblings, I'm fine with it. When I notice someone new has friended me (and it can take a while) I will usually friend back. However, this is my fic-only journal and I don't often read my friends page here. Sorry, but I just don't. So if I've friended you here on IJ, it doesn't mean I'll be reading or commenting on your posts. I always screen anonymous comments on my fic posts, and generally screen non-friends on anything non-fic. This is because I don't want right-wing, religious fanatic, homophobic, misogynistic trolls posting in my space. If this does not describe you please don't be offended by this policy. (If it does describe you I don't give a damn if you're offended.) I never delete or permanently screen comments that don't fall into that category. On me friending you: "Friend" on journalling sites is a terrible misnomer. Some of my LJ friends are people I consider friends. But "friend" to me means someone I care about personally and trust absolutely: that doesn't apply to many people I only know online. Generally my friends list is just the journals I enjoy reading. People whose opinions I like to read, or who I watch for current affairs commentary, fic posts or recs. People who have interesting lives or things to say on issues that matter to me. I very rarely post friends-locked stuff myself and when I do I use custom filters so only those I actually trust can see it. So if I don't friend you back, it doesn't mean I dislike you, it's not a rejection or an insult. If I've friended your IJ and you'd rather I didn't, please just let me know. I won't take that personally, either. Who am I?: I'm a gen and slash fan fiction writer and sometime digital artist. My two worlds (fan and art) don't really mix. I'm Morgan )O( in my fannish life: obsessed with Supernatural, Sentinel, Hercules and Highlander with a fair number of other fandoms, too. As an artist I'm eirian (small E). Who wants to know about my real life? I'm 35, Pagan and gay. I work as a statistical analyst in economic statistics (which is just as much fun as it sounds) and I live with my mother, my sister and three dogs in Newport, South Wales, UK.
